For the latest Fresh Meat, we bring you Wiretappeur, a new group formed by Florian Kruse, Nils Nurnberg and Stelios Vassiloudis (aka Stel). Individually, these artists have been busy releasing memorable music on imprints like 8bit, Dessous, Slip N Slide, Diynamic, Liebe Detail, OM, Dieb Audio, Urbantorque, Mood Music and Knee Deep Recordings. Their Wiretappeur collaboration is a Fresh Meat exclusive bringing their considerable talents together to create two original blissful, warm and timeless house cuts.
The lead track "I Want You" is a captivating 90s infused deep dance floor exploration. Wonderfully organic stabs and filtered chords meet the trio's modern day bravado for building drama. The shuffling drums and percussion float atop a surgically compressed kick and devastating subsonic bass line. Vocal snippets are peppered throughout the cut serving to judiciously build the tension. The first time we heard this track we knew it had to come out on Fresh Meat - it's that special mixture of feel good nostalgia and hands in the air modernism that we can’t resist.
"8 Days A Week", the EPs most hypnotic jaunt, treats us to sweet warm pads and top notch analog bumps with an arrangement that's all about the groove. Again using vocal cut-ups against syncopated keys and percussion, the track creates an early morning vibe as it undulates through each of its floating natural breaks.
The project rounds out with a remix and an edit of "I Want You" by Fresh Meat in house talents Sandrino, Adryan and Nathan Drew Larsen. Sandrino and Adryan put an atmospheric touch all over their rework adding more pads and cosmic effects and extending out the original parts. Nathan stays true to the Larry Levan ethos of the re-edit only using original audio and removing the big breakdowns for his re-invention. Still he manages to transform "I Want You" into a 10 minute ode to the Golden Age of house music in the tradition of Black Wiz or Prescription Records.

[ Benny Rodrigues ] - Nice bits!
[ Marco Resmann (Phage, Luna City Express) ] - The original of I Want You is the one for me but all in all a pretty nice package. Full support!
[ Jay Tripwire ] - I like 8 Days A Week, simple and effective and tracky but with enough nuances that it doesn't sound unfinished like other people's loops that they try to pawn off as music.
[ Fine Cut Bodies ] - Nice deep groovy house music. I'll play the NDL edit for sure. Thanks.
[ Orde Meikle (Slam) ] - Nice techy house; 8 Days A Week for me.
[ Alexkid ] - Florian Kruse and friends have been responsible for some tracks causing serious dance floor damage in my sets. I think these will do the same!
[ Motorcitysoul ] - Brilliant release! Very nice stuff from my Hamburg mates plus wise edit by Nathan. Best Fresh Meat release since "Hello Scarlett".
[ Renato Cohen ] - Great groove! Such a fat sound but with this cool old school flavor; really good!

[ Alland Byallo ] - Nice tracks. I Love 8 Days A Week the most and Nathan's remix is a gem as usual.
